Part I: Nomenclature of organic compounds, Bonding and molecular structure, Aromaticity, Acids and bases, Reaction mechanism: substitution, aromatic substitution, elimination, addition and rearrangements, Oxidation-reduction.

Part II: Introduction to chirality and stereochemistry; elements of symmetry; configurational nomenclatures; optical activity; chiral resolution and kinetic resolution; stereospecific and stereoselective reactions and mechanisms; chiral pool synthesis; conformation of acyclic and cyclic systems.
