My group explores new chemistry and supramolecular chemistry using bile acids. We are currently exploring real-life applications of photoluminescent metallo-cholate gels. Our recent work has been towards the development of paper-based sensing of enzymes and bio-relevant small molecules. We have recently developed a rapid test for detecting penicillin-resistant bacteria. A small portable device has been developed for this purpose for use in any environment.
